Very interesting story! In Norway we also have volunteers measuring front position changes on several glaciers. The Glacier Section at The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) has recruited people who live/works close to many glacier for helping them out doing front position measurements. I am one of them, and I observe four glaciers in the Jostedalsbreen National Park close to the Norwegian Glacier Museum where I work. I have only been doing this for seven years, but I am very happy to contribute and being a climate witness to what’s going on with our glaciers. Keep up the good work, fellow glacier friends!
