Ian Cheney is an Emmy-nominated and Peabody Award-winning documentary filmmaker. He grew up in New England and received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Yale University. His feature documentaries include "King Corn," "The Greening of Southie," "Truck Farm," "The City Dark," "The Search for General Tso," and most recently "Bluespace." A former KSJ fellow at MIT and a 2016 Arctic Science Journalism fellow, he has produced short films for The New York Times, The Guardian and The Atlantic. A visiting professor at the Università degli Studi di Scienze Gastronomiche and a Lecturer at Yale College, Ian lives in western Massachusetts.
